"Slaves To Society"

What have we become?,
Nothing more,
Then excuses,
And false apologies.

The time has come,
Where we can't trust,
Anything anyone says,
How did we let this slip away?

Corruption,
Runs too deep,
Draging down,
Society.

Some preach love,
Yet look no furthur,
Then the monsters,
This emotion has created.

When we put the needs of others,
Before our own,
More often then not,
We are pushed back a step,
Asking ourselves,
"What is the point?"

Greed is what,
Has turned this world,
Into a twisted Hell,
With no way out.

To move forward,
To right the wrongs,
We must forget the past,
And start anew.

This will take time,
But keep in mind,
Patience is a virtue,
The reward will be worth the wait.
