This world turns,
Upside down,
We exist,
For a blink of an eye,

Remembers,

Gone are the empty promises,
We have left behind,
The cheaters and the liars,
The parisites,
That sucked every ounce,
Of life from us,
Have burned.

Freedom no longer,
Comes with a false sense of hope,
All cages are gone,
All chains have been released,
No more ties,
Bind our mind,
We are free thinkers,
I am an individual.

With great power,
Comes great responsibility,
Remeber this,

"Slaves To Society"

What have we become?,
Nothing more,
Then excuses,
And false apologies.

The time has come,
Where we can't trust,
Anything anyone says,
How did we let this slip away?

Corruption,
Runs too deep,
Draging down,
Society.

Some preach love,
Yet look no furthur,
Then the monsters,
This emotion has created.

When we put the needs of others,
Before our own,
More often then not,
We are pushed back a step,
Asking ourselves,
"What is the point?"

Greed is what,
Has turned this world,
Into a twisted Hell,
With no way out.

To move forward,
To right the wrongs,
We must forget the past,
And start anew.

This will take time,
But keep in mind,
Patience is a virtue,
The reward will be worth the wait.

"Into The Darkness"

Disquised by innocence,
Not worth a second thought,
Distractions pass the time,
Yet it still dwells.

Somedays are better,
Others are not so,
A false sense of security,
Is what it thrives on.

It preys on silence,
It strikes us all,
And tonight,
It takes it's final toll.

It seems as though the weak,
And compassionate,
Are the first to go,
Although these traits,
Do not go hand in hand.

Tonight,
Many will take their final breath,
For this to stop,
We must be,
Strong.

The beast,
Rears it's ugly head,
A decision must be made,
Before it's too late.

My dear,
I'm afraid,
Tonight will be my last.

You can't blame yourself,
For it was I,
Who dug my own grave.

I guess this is goodbye,
Gone too soon or here to long,
Your the judge of that now,
For I am afraid,
This has consumed my life.

Humanity,
Ha become a pathetic excuse,
For bloodshed.
Society,
Is nothing more,
Then controlled anarchy.

Morals are non-existent,
Counting the hours,
Has become the status-quo,
Living private lives,
Keeping secrets,
As we turn a blind eye.

It's become quite the cliche,
To tear yourself apart,
And let others,
Pick up the pieces.

Sympathy,
Is something we have all,
Come to expect,
Yet how can we,
When we must give to receive.

Pity,
Has contributed greatly,
To our demise.

We must turn the tables,
If we are to break from this cycle,
This vicious cycle,
Until then,
We keep breaking ourselves apart,
And let others,
Pick up the pieces.
