This is the first song I have written in a while. I wasn't completely satisfied but there were several parts I was happy with. I hope you enjoy!
No longer are these words,
Enough to mend,
What our actions,
Have torn apart.
So young,
Such a shame,
Self-conscience,
Is where we lay the blame.
"You are not alone"
They said,
How ironic,
For it was those word he dread.
Waking up to the morning sun,
And where his life was officially done.
Pain that started,
In the very heart,
That gave his body life,
Began to tear him apart.
Many tried to play hero,
Yet no one,
Not even you,
Could save his long forgotten soul.
So let this be a lesson,
To all of you,
Do not take for granted,
This life we so often do.

"Chair"
An empty chair sits next to me,
There's no place that I'd rather be,
If only you could see,
Where you left me.
Gone are the nights where we would lay,
Under the stars not worrying,
About what tomorrow brings,
What tomorrow brings.
I stand alone- here I am waiting,
For the words- the words your saying,
To my ghost,
To my...
My past and present are no longer,
Where I stand to keep connected,
My world has crumbled,
Yet your pushing through the rubble,
You are my hope,
You are my everything.
I catch myself as I stare,
Up at the stars- your not there,
Where are you tonight,
Where are you tonight.
I'm lost without your direction,
Your emptiness is an infection,
Your killing me,
So slowly.
My past and present are no longer,
Where I stand to keep connected,
My world has crumbled,
Yet your pushing through the rubble,
You are my hope,
You are my everything.
How could you leave me dead and broken,
My one true love- I am hoping,
You'll find me again,
You'll find me again.
The feeling that I miss the most,
Is when I would hold you close,
You left me all alone,
You left me on my own.
My past and present are no longer,
Where I stand to keep connected,
My world has crumbled,
Yet your pushing through the rubble,
You are my hope,
You are my everything.
An empty chair sits next to me,
There's no place that I'd rather be,
If only you could see,

"Mirrors"
Another night,
The same old story,
The morning brings shame,
Will nothing ever change?
Looking in the mirror,
I'm ashamed at who looks back,
Where did this all go wrong?
When did I go off track?
And now I'm calling out your name,
To take away this pain,
As I drown in my shame,
I am the only one to blame.
Regret haunts me,
Every waking hour,
I must do all in my power,
To change.
All this talk of moving forward,
As I take a single step back,
If only I could scream out,
So that I may be heard.
Looking in the mirror,
I'm ashamed at who looks back,
Where did this all go wrong?
When did I go off track?
And now I'm calling out your name,
To take away this pain,
As I drown in my shame,
I am the only one to blame.
Looking in the mirror,
I'm ashamed at who looks back,
And as this mirror falls from my hands,
My past follows suit.
Shattered,
Broken,
Into a million pieces,
I call out your name.
Another night,
The same old story,
The morning brings shame,
Will nothing ever change?
And now I'm calling out your name,
To take away this pain,
As I drown in my shame,
I am the only one to blame.

"One Summer Sunset"
This is a song that wrote after listening and being inspired by the band Low Level Flight. This is not my usual writing style but I feel that it is good to branch out. Personally, this is one of my favourite songs that I have ever written and I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to tell me what you think in the comments, thanks!
"One Summer Sunset"
The smell of bon-fires and old cigars,
Days when we would drive just to lose track of time,
The final sunset of summer is upon us,
In the fading light we lose our lives.
We used to be about loud music and dancing the night away,
Now all we are is paying bills and crushing our dreams.
No, you won't find me complaining,
For all good things must come to an end- all the same,
I still long for those days,
Which I would waste looking in your eyes,
And nights where we would forget all our troubles,
Filled with teary eyes and blurry goodbyes.
We were just being kids,
Laughing as we danced in the rain,
Now as I grow up my only wish,
Is that it washes away my pain.
I long to see in colour,
The days of our youth,
For I've seen in black and white,
For far to long- it's time to move.
Call me desperate- call me insane,
For chasing my past,
No longer do I live my life,
As I now live behind a mask.
I still long for those days,
Which I would waste looking in your eyes,
And nights where we would forget all our troubles,
Filled with teary eyes and blurry goodbyes.
Memorials of friends long forgotten,
I stumble upon now and then,
Some lived life to the fullest- others wasted away,
Friends, we do not break although we bend.
No, you won't find me complaining,
For all good things must come to an end- all the same.
I still long for those days,
Which I would waste looking in your eyes,
And nights where we would forget all our troubles,
Filled with teary eyes and blurry goodbyes.
The smell of bon-fires and old cigars,

"Mistaken"
The moonlight casts a shadow,
Upon your perfect face,
As stars fill the night sky,
I lie alone- dying for a taste.
Your voice keeps me grounded,
Yet your eyes take me away,
If only I could talk,
I would have so much to say.
You can't forgive,
What you can't forget,
It's easier to die,
Then live with this regret,
With that in mind,
Differences aside,
This is the end,
Here is my goodbye.
What we once had,
Felt like magic in the air,
Now when I turn around,
It pains me not to see you there.
How I let you down,
Still haunts me to this day,
Everytime,
Every way.
You can't forgive,
What you can't forget,
It's easier to die,
Then live with this regret,
With that in mind,
Differences aside,
This is the end,
Here is my goodbye.
When you laugh- I laugh,
When you cry- I cry,
But when you walked away,
You left me wondering why.
I would give the world,
To see your smile again,
Now I take my life,
And leave this message I send,
To you...
The past is where,
We should not dwell,
Yet it's hard not to,
When my future appears,
A living Hell.
You can't forgive,
What you can't forget,
It's easier to die,
Then live with this regret,
With that in mind,
Differences aside,
This is the end,
Here is my goodbye.
You can't forgive,
What you can't forget,
It's easier to die,
Then live with this regret,
With that in mind,
Differences aside,
This is the end,
Here is my goodbye.
My ignorance,
Is all that stands between us,
Yet we go our seperate ways,
We must.
With that in mind,
Differences aside,
This is the end,
Here is my goodbye.

"The Queen Of Hearts"
Controlling,
Demanding,
Follow them,
To the so called,
Promise Land.
Counting the price of regret,
As my life hung in the balance,
Twisting minds with it,
Just one of your many talents.
Tales have been told,
Of a better life,
I was ******* sold,
Believing all of your lies.
I was so naive,
And trusting,
Still can't believe,
Never again.
Mark my words,
I fell victim one time,
I followed my heart,
But now this is goodbye.
Goodbye.
Although,
This is our bitter end,
One day,
Our bonds I hope to mend.
So this is farewell,
Best of luck to you,
One day we may be friends,
I sincerely hope we do.

"Blink Of An Eye/Don't Wake Me"
This world turns,
Upside down,
We exist,
For a blink of an eye,
And then,
No one,
Remembers,
Who you were.
-------------------
Excuses no longer exist,
In what has become,
A new age, a new era,
Gone are the empty promises,
We have left behind,
The cheaters and the liars,
The parisites,
That sucked every ounce,
Of life from us,
Have burned.
Freedom no longer,
Comes with a false sense of hope,
All cages are gone,
All chains have been released,
No more ties,
Bind our mind,
We are free thinkers,
I am an individual.
With great power,
Comes great responsibility,
Remeber this,
Remeber this.
